I welcome custom orders. Below, I have swatches of
fabrics I have on hand. A 10% markup applies when I must
special order or hunt down a fabric. This helps with shipping
fees and time spent driving around town. Sometimes if I
have to order just one piece of fabric for a special order,
I end up paying more in shipping than the fabric costs.
That can really take a bite out of any profit I make in
the end. I do hope you'll understand! If you choose a fabric
I already have listed below, no extra fee is applied.
How to design your own bag:
Step 1:
Select the style you want from the styles
page. I am really flexible -- if you need something with different
dimensions or certain pockets, that's no problem.
Step 2:
Select your fabric from below (you'll need
an outer fabric and a lining. You can choose a lining here
or ask for a solid color that matches.) There are also some
great fabrics at Warehouse
Fabrics Inc. in the retro collection. These can be ordered,
though it will delay your bag a bit and the 10% markup will
apply (see above). (Note: I no longer order
from Cheap Threads because of customer service problems.)
Step 3:
Choose closure type (magnetic snap, zipper,
ribbon tie). Zippers are limited to certain styles. See the
styles page for details.
Step 4:
Select bamboo handles or fabric straps (please
note: Carmela style is too small for bamboo handles).
Step 5:
Send me an e-mail.
I will always contact you to finalize details before making
anything. I'll send you a PayPal invoice once we get the details
figured out. I always return e-mails within the same day,
so if you don't hear from me, please check your spam folder
or try me again. I've been getting bombarded with spam and
try to weed through it carefully. I always get back
to people promptly.
Feel free to peruse the sold items in the gallery
for ideas or contact me if you have something different in
mind and want to see if I can make it. I am happy to work
with you to get you what you want.
Here are fabrics I currently have on hand. I
buy in small quantities, so please contact
me and I'll let you know if I have enough for your order.
I may be able to get more if I don't. Ask me about fabrics
on my "sold" items. I may still be able to get them
even if they aren't listed here. I enjoy making different
things all the time, which is why I buy limited quantities
of fabric.
